Todays quickie is a finer one, I think. It started as a sketch of a face in PS, later as the body was added, the face got smaller, the planned second figure got left out, trees grew, this is the result of some 2-3 hour playing. It was fun, which is the most important aspect of creation.

Today I´ve managed to sketch almost half a day, so more sketches are a comin´. The frog faced guy and the smilin´ girl. The sick eyes of the guy are not only sick, but also look wrong, it´s a mistake, but I´m leavin´it like it is, to know where I do mistakes. In a year, maybe I can manage sketches without mistakes.

At last, something non-naked :) These sketches are from an upcoming brochure about teenage girls, which I am working on for the civic organisation OZ ODYSEUS.
I´m starting to feel weird, all the time only drawing chix. I should draw cars, guys, trees, clouds, insects, fishes, robots :)

Sorry that it´s again a nekkid woman, but I found the website of Lucio Alberto Ruiz-Diaz, who heavily kicks ass with nude chix with guns. I can´t deny that I don´t like it and that it doesn´t flow through my mind. Check him out (and all the other artists there, present and from the past, beautifull sketches)!

´Cos I´m such a lazy sloth, as of starting today, this is a new project of mine, 666 sketches in 666 days! Every day, one sketch should be done by me.

Lets hope it´s like this: if the sketch numbah 666 sucks, the last one, the sketch 001, should kick ass!
I have about 2 years to manage to be better, wish me luck.

If on some days I´m not able to deliver a sketch, later more should be added.

Comics kick ass again!

As a long time fan of comics at a certain point I got fed up with superheroes and later with most of the comics created around the globe. Almost nothing seemed to give me the notorious "sense of wonder". Not the mainstream, not the underground, not the alternative, usually not even the sure-to-work stars of my comicscreators heaven.

Until recently: ... I stumbled upon MARVEL ZOMBIES. What a great idea! What cunning dialogue, inteligent storyline! Superheroes eating each other. Captain Americas head sawed off with his adamantium shield, Spideys legs, the Galactus feast, muhahaaa, so many jokes.

And now CIVIL WAR! I never liked the goodytwoshoes patriotic Captain America, but he was really excellent when fighting S.H.I.E.LD. I always loved the X-men idea of a special outsider species of mutants, now they wanna registrate all the superheroes here. I am currently at the 3rd part, but boy am I curious, almost horny (: Spider-man revealing his identity, J.J.J. falling of the chair, hah! Mr.Fantastic is plotting something, something huge. And it all feels so real. Like the X-static books.

Thats the sense of wonder I needed to feel in my stomach again. When I first saw the AKIRA movie or listened to Rage against the machine. It isnt important if its from a superheroe book or a autobiographic graphic novel, from a Terry Gilliam movie or a painting by Klimt. Whatever turns me on.

Okay, maybe I check all the great comicstories some months or years later, nevertheless, I LOVE COMICS AGAIN!
