This monday it´s somethin´ else, a unfinished sketch of Logan, work in progress, will be done, hopefully, sometime this week. The finished version will be in my gallery.
Check out Petra Stefankova, the red hot artist behind the english version of the cover for the upcoming ADAMANTIUM 2 comicbook. More famous in the UK, then here at home in Slovakia. You can stare at her stuff here or here.
Wuuiiii, another sketch, I am starting to like this project. Sorry that it´s again a nekkid woman, but I found the website of Lucio Alberto Ruiz-Diaz, who heavily kicks ass with nude chix with guns. I can´t deny that I don´t like it and that it doesn´t flow through my mind. Check him out (and all the other artists there, present and from the past, beautifull sketches)!
´Cos I´m such a lazy sloth, as of starting today, this is a new project of mine, 666 sketches in 666 days! Every day, one sketch should be done by me.
Lets hope it´s like this: if the sketch numbah 666 sucks, the last one, the sketch 001, should kick ass! I have about 2 years to manage to be better, wish me luck.
If on some days I´m not able to deliver a sketch, later more should be added.
Soon to emerge back from the zombie pit, the second issue of the Adamantium comics magazine! Lots of great stuff inside, in 2 languages: slovak and english! Check this site for more info.
A part of the better part of the exhibition. The complete artist list includes: Roman Bicek, Mário Furčák, Adrián Hnát, Andrej Kolenčík, Tomáš Makara, Martin Melicherčík, Boris Sirka, Viliam Slaminka, Erik Šille, Veronika Šramatyová and Petr Včelka.
The all star team, guys who support comics and know what they talk about, from left to right: Pavel Keniz (artist and theoretist), Martin Pribyl (publisher of ZKRAT), Petr Vcelka (artist with attitude), Tomas Prokupek (co-publisher of AARGH and really grrreat comics journalist/theoretist), Martin Foret (theory of comics).
Tomas Prokupek, great guy and great detective in inspecting the oldest comics from our czech and slovak countries, here with material about the (until now) oldest slovak comics Baca Duro a medved Mrmlac.
Juraj Malicek, pop-culture theoretist, with a somewhat neurotic presence, but still a largely wide knowledge of the pop-stuff. A freak as the most of you readers here :)
My favourite two comics theory rulerz, Martin Foret (left) and Pavel Keniz. Both have done a great job in dissecting the comics form, ask for the conference material at the gallery, their work is worth a reading.
Taken on 4.12. in the Nitrianska gallery. Photos from the conference about comics (a sub-event of the K.O.MIX exhibition), which turned out to be a really cool and enriching event. More info here On the first photo: the creative team of Omar Mirza and Nina Zackova.
